ITE art exhibition

The Middle of Nowhere art park presents ITE art, i.e. art made by self-taught artists. Our art park is located in a small village in the middle of nowhere, but still close to Helsinki

The story of the art park started with the thought of two friends “let’s finally do something nice together”. This thought led to ITE art and, through a few twists and turns, to the decision to buy an old abandoned market garden property in Hyvinkää for an art park (year 2022). The art park opened to the public for the first time in the summer of 2024. The works in the art park are donated or on loan, and the exhibition is renewed every summer.

A lot of recycled materials have been used in the construction of the park, such as e.g. old barn floors, pig pens, trees cleared from the property and old objects found on the property.

Art trail

The art park is built in such a way that the whole family can enjoy themselves and find something to marvel at. The original and inventive works of the park, full of big and small insects, mythical creatures, animals and various gadgets, are made of metal, wood, stone and various recycled materials.

The exhibition is set up along the pine tree route outside and in the interior of the small main building. The route goes over the ruins of the market garden’s greenhouse into the forest and returns from there to the summer terrace built on the reeds of a lovely old apple orchard. The length of the route is about 600 meters.
