Location and Directions

Hyvinkää is about 50 kilometers from Helsinki, which makes the Middle of Nowhere art park an ideal day trip destination for residents and visitors of the capital region.

The location at the intersection of two main highways also makes it an attractive destination for tourists traveling from other parts of Finland or abroad.

Driving directions

When coming from the direction of Mäntsälä, turn left on road 25 at the Ridasjärvi exit. When coming from the direction of Hyvinkää, turn right from the 25th road at the Ridasjärvi exit. Continue on uudenkyläntie for 1.4 km, then turn left onto Myllykyläntie, which you drive for 1.3 km and turn left again and continue for 150 m and you will reach the art park.

Dogs are welcome with us, but please note the following: dogs must be kept on a leash in the café and art park exhibition area. dogs are not allowed inside the building. you can ask the staff for a cup of water.

Accessibility

The art park and cafe are not accessible, but you can also visit us in a wheelchair, taking into account the following: Part of the park’s route is a gravel path, along which you can see the works in a wheelchair, but it would be good to have an assistant with you. You can see about half of the works. The indoor exhibition is also wheelchair accessible. The café has a wheelchair ramp and an accessible disabled toilet.

Train / Bicycle

It is 7 kilometers from Jokela Train Station to our art park, and there is a bike path almost all the way there. For example, from Helsinki, you can use your own bicycle on the commuter train to Jokela (Zone ABCD). Look: HSL reittiopas /  HSL-liput / Google maps
