Middle of Nowhere art park is very easy to access by bicycle and we are proud to welcome cyclists as part of the Welcome Cyclist network. This means that we offer services specially designed for bicycle tourists, which make the visit easy and pleasant.
Cyclists can come to us without worrying about where to store the bike or what to do if a little maintenance is needed. We provide safe storage for bikes, a pump and basic tools so you can make minor adjustments along the way. In addition, we have a charging point for electric bikes and the possibility to charge other devices such as e.g. cell phone.
Combine cycling and the train easily
The Middle of Nowhere art park is designed to be accessible even if you don’t arrive all the way by bike. For example, the commuter train is an excellent option for those coming from the direction of Helsinki. You can take your bike with you on the commuter train and stay at Jokela station, which is only 7 kilometers from the art park. A bicycle path leads almost the entire way from the river to the art park, which makes the transition smooth and safe. Located in zone ABCD, Jokela can be easily reached with an HSL commuter train ticket, and the route can be conveniently planned using HSL’s Route Guide or Google Maps.
The journey from Jokela station to the art park is a pleasant experience in itself. The bike path goes through beautiful landscapes, and along the way it’s nice to enjoy the peace of nature before reaching the inspiring atmosphere of the art park. The route is clear and suitable for those who want relaxed cycling, or those traveling with children (distance length 7 kilometers/direction).
The container cafe's crispy Belgian waffles
The specialty of our art cafe is delicious Belgian waffles. In our ice cream freezer, we have 3 Kaveri ice creams and we also offer a little salty. We also have the right to serve alcohol, so you can enjoy a glass of sparkling or cold beer in our cafe.
